Angela, i'm so excited to be actually in the air and on my way. the kids will have to fend for themselves for a few days! must check out iPhone camera apps to see how i'm going to document. i've decided to leave the fancy camera home - i want to travel light.

taxi takes us to the city and Nanc and i throw down our bags at our West Village abode and we walk to Cafe Cluny. nowhere is there a better beet salad. everything else there is great too. next day we did something that i've always wanted to do - took the Circle Line Boat Tour all around manhattan. fun. views of the city from our boat below.

that night we had a drink at the Bowery Hotel. Great lobby bar and out door drinks area. then we met Cindy at Il Buco at 47 Bond Street right around the corner. LOVED IT. along with some other delicious dishes we had trigger fish - ever heard of that before? it was mouth watering. first 24 hours a rip roaring success!

Dunkle, glad to see you are back! I haven't had time to get to Anthropology on Third Street. But i am excited to do so as our beloved babysitter(and so much more)'s housemate does the store displays. I did get to ICE at Santa Monica which is nearby on 5th. I documented Quinn there with a new iPhone App that Esther just told me about, Polarize.

Free Benjamin Moore Paint Chip App for iPhone

Dunkle, here is the link for the Ben ColorCapture App. it's so simple. you open the App, take a picture of your puple chair (or whatever) and it tells you the name and number of the paint that will match it. you can also access "Harmony" - colors that look great with it or "Strip" which will give you all the shades from lightest to darkest for that color. then you put in your zip and locate the store nearest you! btw, i'm lusting big time over that wallpaper. with all this remodeling going on there might be a place for a bold wallpapered wall. do ya think?

an affair to remember /sf

wally, i am head-over-heels, completely and emphatically in love. As you know, there has been a serious void in my life and i have been unable to commit to a serious relationship... until now. I confess, i was weak, and yes, i have tasted the forbidden fruit.

The iphone 3GS is rockin' my world. My head is spinning and i get dizzy with anticipation each time i visit the app store. i am like a kid in a candy store and just can't seem to get enough! i mean, where can you find a wine enthusiast, get great restaurant recommendations, treat you to a backstage pass...all in the blink of an eye AND without getting upset when you ask for directions?

This promises to be one of the greatest love stories ever told, so be sure to keep an eye out for my new featured posts, app du jour/ technology is your friend, a very abridged version of my best-loved, tried-and-true apps in the very near future. It appears i will be smitten for quite some time...with 70,000 apps and counting, love is in the air!
