Cavallo Point Get-Away / sf

Hey Wally, I've been giving some thought to our gals weekend in Nor Cal and think this is a great option. A couple of weeks ago we took my friend Angela (a different Angela) to Cavallo Point Lodge for birthday drinks and dinner. Suffice to say drinks on the lodge porch looking out at the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset was not too difficult to take. Our dining experience was equally fabulous. I love that we were seated in an over sized comfy booth and had several waiters at our beck and call...too decadent!

My only complaint was we had to leave to come home. It occurred to me that my next visit to the lodge should be for a spa get-away weekend. Cavallo Point is an eco-resort located at Fort Baker in the Marin Headlands. Fort Baker is a scenic army post that played a key role in the defense of the San Francisco Bay for more than a century.

Here is a shot of the spa. They offer several specials and spa packages for one and two night stays. It really looks just too dreamy.

Cavallo Point is located in Fort Baker, just across the Golden Gate Bridge just seven miles from downtown San Francisco; five miles from San Francisco's Marina District & Union Street and one mile from Sausalito. In theory we can do one night at the spa and another in the city or wine country.

Check out these gorgeous restored bungalows. We could get really spoiled really fast here...

You need a little r&r away from all that remodeling, right? This could do wonders for the cranky-factor. Can I twist your arm?
