wally, head's up! apartment therapy's annual color contest, Room For Color 2009 is in full swing. the bad news is the deadline for entries is past. the good news is there's still time to cast your vote. entries are international as well as from all over the u.s.
these are entries from real people, with real rooms with a real fun sense of color and design. i love it from a purely voyeuristic perspective. sort of like walking around your neighborhood in the evening, peeking into your neighbors living room.
the entries are about as diverse as you can get. this one is from israel, while the one above is from mexico.
i like to try and guess what country the rooms are from. there is such a huge range of how people use color. some on just one wall or as an accent.
the entries are not necessarily apartments, either. there are plenty of single family homes and loft spaces as well.
some entries focus on one or two rooms while others on specific design details.
so cast your vote by oct 29. the final four will be announced nov 12.
maybe next year we can throw our hats into the ring...you better get moving on that remodel, girl! first prize is a design shopping weekend in N.Y.C.
