my head is spinning with all the summertime chaos. how can two kids feel like a small army that's decamped at my house leaving thousands of sticky fingerprints and wrappers everywhere? i can't think straight, can barely remember my name and having a conversation with an adult right now is next to impossible. but i did manage to find the camera under a pile of refuse and snap these photos of The-Real-Life-Best-Ever-Dog-Rufus and our new bird, Peaches. as my dad would have said, and rightly so, i needed that bird right now like i needed another hole in my head.
