Dunkle, i remembered that another Maui hotel - The Fairmont Kea Lani. when i was there sans children i do remember thinking that this would be a good place for kids. best of all - all the rooms are suites. love that.

WOW. i've actually stayed here too. both here and at the Lodge. i had to post pictures of this place because it's gorgeous. read her post. she's got inside info. but from my recollections leave the kids behind to really enjoy.
