The Annenberg Space for Photography just opened in Century City and my friend, Christine (groovy GF who's been coming up with the best ideas on Thursdays - mom's night out) , signed us up to hear a lecture by Douglas Kirkland. She knows i love photography and she does too. We both have the same fabulous camera. It was great to listen to Kirkland. He's 75 and still at it with a joie de vie that i am truly envious of. i have to go back and look at the space itself again. it's got a very cool vibe. -Has a super cool hanging lamp that i love in the "kitchen" area. Oh, and wait 'til you see what happens in the mirror in the ladies room (hope the guys got one too). Anyway, right now they have a show called L8s Ang3les (not a typo) that features 11 (get it? 8+3) photographers that have meaningful things to say about our city.
Bar/Restaurant tip for this place: Craft. Right next door and some pretty good people watching as CAA is also next door.
