TwoFab/LA artwalk shots/deets below

a bad cold didn't keep me home.  of course i stayed out too late and am paying for it today...

I was glad i brought my camera.  i learned that i have a lot to learn.  practice, practice.

Bumped in to Rex Bruce in his studio;  lacda on 5th.  he knew a lot about cameras.  he gave up his car and spent two years riding public transportation recording images of the L.A. sky-scape as a meditation on the climate crisis.  his stills and video were shot through phone cameras and the like (low resolution).  my photos don't do them justice.

here's artist Mike Mendizabal.  my photo of his painting above shows me that i have a lot to learn about shooting on the fly with available light.   another accessible artist, happy to talk.

a shuttle can take you around.   we walked.   i hear they do performance art inside.

i set eyes for the first time on the Korean BBQ taco truck made famous on Twitter.

the line was absurdly long.  don't care how good it is.

cool guy

fun lamp at Pete's Cafe and Bar where we ate skirt steak and roquefort fries (wish i had some now).

there were shots that needed to be taken everywhere.  this was taken in a coffee shop down some alley.

we ended up having drinks at the Edison.  supposedly they specialize in Gin and Whisky.  i had a gin that the bartender picked.  shoulda had whisky...
