all this rain is making me wish i could get back to Puakea Ranch (big island, Hawaii) where it's always warm and balmy. you would love it. it's a renovated ranch that has had many incarnations with the latest being a collection cottages (two with private pools) and tons of space to roam around and explore. there are horses, cows and chickens that live there along with two dogs that we adopted during our stay. it actually took weeks for the relaxation that sunk deep into my bones to disappear! these are my photos. the last one was from an amazing hike we took on the first day.
