Two Friends & A Blog.

We're Kelly and Angela. Some of our friends know us as Wally and Dunkle. Welcome to our domain, Two Friends and a Blog. We get excited about everything from day-glow paint chips to naked accordion music. We live in Los Angeles and San Francisco and get our jollies from swapping fun and cool stuff with each other. Occasionally we hit one out of the park. Those are the ones you don't want to miss.

Fate flung us together more years ago than any sane person would admit while working at TBWA, an entirely-too hip ad agency, located then in Venice, California.

The cornerstone of our friendship was a summer vacation to Europe where we stumbled (literally, not figuratively speaking) through Spain, France and Italy. Three days into the trip all our luggage and worldly possessions, (save the fanny packs and clothes on our backs) were stolen out from under our annibriated noses, in broad daylight mind you, smack-dab in the middle of Seville.

Several beers and weeping sessions later, it became abundantly clear that this must be destiny. There MUST be a bigger reason than the both of us for this hellacious act, this crime against nature! What about Karma? What about what-goes-around-comes-around? Could there BE a cloud with a silver-lining? Could we make lemon-aid from lemons?

Whatever.

To this day, we travel only with what we and the pack mules, aka. children can easily carry on their collective backs. Liberation became our silver lining. No more make-up, no more schlepping, no more checking bags and hideously long lines at the airport. Share a tube of Spanish toothpaste (settle down,I said tooth PASTE, not tooth BRUSH, get creative with men's pajamas (yes, men's pajama's)they make a helluva an entrance at the opera; ladies, heads up, this is a GREAT character building exercise, one you can teach your daughters and ALWAYS, ALWAYS ship home what you can't carry...immediately.

Now our daily lives are like a lot people; consumed with kids, dogs, senile cats, homework and housework, in that order. Somehow we are going to find the time, or die trying to show ourselves and the world all the stuff we love and feel is blogworthy.

What can we say, it's what makes us tick.

So sit back and enjoy the ride. We are.
